Basic Latex Making Kits

There are a few basic latex making kits on the market with various tools and supplies for between £40 and £70. This is quite cheap considering a full set up with everything needed to begin making your own latex clothing is around £150 - £200! Radical Rubber

Radical Rubber Latex sheets are my personal favourite latex supplier, because the latex is very shiny. Some latex brands prefer the Supatex 4D rubber for the suede like back. You can buy a basic kit from Radical Rubber for around £55 which included:

• a) Glue (water-based latex emulsion, not containing solvents)

• b) Glue (water-based latex emulsion, not containing solvents)

• c) Polish (Radical Rubber's Radicalshine, latex-based polish)

• d) Seam Roller (for rolling your seams to get good adhesion)

• e) Roller cutter (to cut your latex nice and clean)

• f) Marker Pen (a white, easy-to-rub-off gel pen

• g) Glue spreader (a thin spatula for glueing tight corners)

• h) Flexible Spreader (a simple plastic sheet that can be cut to size for different glueing jobs)

• i) Latex Practice Sheet (1 sq metre of black Radical Rubber latex, 0.40mm gauge)

• j) Latex Sheet Pieces (random scraps of latex in various colours and gauges for you to practise on)

• k) ‘How To’ Brochure (fully illustrated 36-page guide to cutting and sticking latex)

• l) Lint-free Cloth (for polishing your latex)

Latex Repair NL

Latex Repair is a site that does repairs as well as selling amazing printed latex sheets to purchase. You can buy a basic kit for € 31,49 which includes

• tin of latex glue 150 ml

• - 10 cm double-sided colored latex (you will receive a random combination)
